Division Not Peace

“Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” Luke 12:51-53

The division referred to above was caused by the acceptance or rejection of the Gospel. Sadly, these days there is a lot of division over a great variety of issues being intentionally caused by godless people who want to tear down from within the structure of the world as we know it so that they can rebuild Babylon. This will set the stage for the events described in Revelation to take place. Now is a good time to know your God in order to avoid being deceived and to have the strength to remain standing no matter what happens. (Mark 13:22-23, 2Thess. 2:9-12, Rev. 13:13-18, Dan. 11:32-35, Eph. 6:10-20)

Remember, the wise virgins went in with the Bridegroom when He arrived, but the foolish were not ready and were later turned away when they tried to enter. (Matt. 25:1-13) The Church at Philadelphia was promised to be spared from the hour of trial to come upon the whole world, and yet they still must hold fast until He comes. (Rev. 3:7-14, Rev. 17:12-14 – one hour of power) This was due to their faithfulness throughout their persecution up until that point. There was no need for them to endure any further trials. (Jam. 1:12, Phil. 1:27-30, 1Pet. 5:6-11, 2:19-21, 3:8-17, 4:12-19, Heb. 10:26-39, Rev. 21:7-8, Matt. 5:10-16, Luke 6:22-23)
